On our last full day in Twisp, I wanted to photograph a local waterfall. We visited with David and he recommended Cedar Falls and Falls Creek Falls. Looking at photos people had posted, Falls Creek Falls looked more interesting to me. Both waterfalls are close to Twisp and are easy hikes. Falls Creek Falls has (at least) three tiers with the lowest fall being close to the trailhead. The middle falls has a long switchback trail up the hill but we chose a steeper shortcut (thanks Chuck). The steep hike took us to a small outcrop overlook then drops back down to the river. Well worth the climb. Another photographer was hiking towards the upper falls which looked good. But the middle falls had a large rock midstream that caught my eye, so I focused on that part of the river Light was okay with the sun ducking in and out of clouds, changing the light nicely.
