David’s first suggestion on places to visit were Washington Pass Overlook and Rainy Lake. Both are northwest of Twisp about 30mins. Highway 20 heads to the coast through Washington Pass and is impassible during the winter months. The Pacific Northwest was having a major hot spell during our visit with temperatures over 100degF. So many of the snow covered peaks were melting and causing larger-than-average flows in the many rivers, including the river by David & Majorie’s house.
